Dusti Bowling’s first published book is Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus. This middle grade novel tells the story of Aven, a young girl who was born without arms. Aven doesn’t let her challenges keep her from starting over at a new school, finding a new friend, and investigating a spooky mystery at a theme park. Aven's ability to tell a good story whether the facts are true or not will inspire and entertain readers who pick up this book. Dusti Bowling will sign books for students who have pre-ordered them after her visit. Her visit is courtesy of the Bookstall in Winnetka.
